Description:
Kojic Acid:
Inhibits the activity
of tyrosinase enzyme responsible for melanogenesis, reducing the
hyperpigmentations and lightening the skin.
Tranexamic Acid:
Inhibits melanin
production , reduces inflammation and decreases the appearance of pigmentation.
Cinnamic Acid:
Inhibits the action of
diphenolase activity, free radical scavenger, synergistic effect with kojic
acid and tranexamic acid by increasing its penetration in skin and maximizing
depigmenting action.
Niacinamide:
Blocks reversibly the
transfer of melanosome from melanocytes to keratinocytes necessary for melanin
synthesis, strengthens skin natural barrier function and inhibits the formation
of AGE's.
Mechanism of action:
Melanin pigment is
synthesized in specialized cytoplasmic organelles called melanosomes Within the
melanosomes, the enzymatic conversion of the amino acid tyrosine to melanin is
catalyzed by the enzyme tyrosinase. The melanosomes in darker portions of the skin
are more active than those found in normal areas of the body. The ingredients
found in the formula counter this process in multiple ways by dealing with not
only the melanosomes, but also the enzyme tyrosinase involved in the
melanogenesis. Kojic Acid, Tranexamic Acid, Cinnamic Acid and Niacinamide
blocks melanin biosynthesis pathway at various stages of melanin synthesis and
thus synergetic effect is obtained.
Indications and Usage:
AD Alpha Glow is a
depigmenting cream that inhibits the melanin formation and significantly
reducing the pigmentations.
